Fancy joining a dynamic, well-funded spin-out form the University of Oxford in the role of Finance & Office Administrator.

The role will allow you to be involved across a wide range of aspects as we grow including finance, HR, marketing and more.

We started in late 2017, are in our second year of revenues with key customers already on board and have now have a team of 10. As a well-funded early stage company this is a great opportunity to get involved in all aspects of the business.

With previous experience in a finance and administrative role you will be pro-active, able to take the initiative and are happy to get stuck in.

The role is part-time, anticipated 15-22.5hrs a week spread over 3 days but other work patterns will be considered. Must be able to be in the office on Fridays.

The Role

The initial focus of the role will be on financial administration, but this is likely to quickly evolve to include a wider remit. Your responsibilities will include: -

  • Bookkeeping
    • Ensuring all financial records are recorded and maintained in the accounting software
    • Process all invoicing
    • Process expenses claims
  • Procurement
    • Process all purchase requests, ensuring timely delivery and chasing orders where necessary
    • Work with the Finance & Office Manager to develop the procurement function
    • Maintenance of office databases
    • Provide ad hoc administrative support as needed
  • Office Administration
    • Help organise events and exhibitions including arranging any necessary marketing materials
    • Maintain office supplies
    • Maintenance of office databases
    • Provide ad hoc administrative support as needed

Requirements

You will be able to demonstrate that you: -

  • have at least 1 years’ experience in a finance/office administration role
  • have experience of using accounting software, i.e. Xero, Sage
  • are self-motivated and are able to work on own initiative
  • have excellent attention to detail
  • are familiarity with Microsoft office applications including Excel
  • have a positive outlook
  • have experiencing of working in start-up

Benefits

Salary: £21 - £24k fte
